There has been plenty of work coming out of the Ascot Vale studio over the last couple of months… Karen Powell & Rylee Delaney both won bit Parts on Rush. Louise Rocchi is to appear in a Bit Part role in Offspring coming up soon. Lloyd Bissell won a bit part on City Homicide. Charli Tjoe’s episode on Rush will be coming up soon as well as waiting on a few lead role auditions she’s had lately. Stephanie Capiron just appeared in an episode of Rush. Suzie Shehata filmed a TVC. Hayley Cassidy filmed a bit part on the newest Underbelly coming up. Amber Liddicoat, Madison Pelzer, Helet Kalay and Gabbi Alicandro film some extra work on Neighbours. Matt O’Brien appeared in Neighbours all last week. As well as Peter Barbaro making an appearance in Offspring. Chloe Pukk filmed a pilot with Mauricio Merino Jr. Ivan Bradara wraps shooting a lead role on a VCA Independent film while rehearsing for another VCA film. Kendall Osborne almost wraps Shooting a lead role on a different Independent film called 6 Lovers. Christina Villani wins a role in an Independent dance film. This is just some of the work as well as there being loads of auditions coming out of the Ascot Vale Studio… Great work by all…

As a part of our “Stella Adler Down Under” program, we have brought the Director of the Stella Adler Theatre Institute in Los Angeles, John Jack Rodgers, and two of it’s top instructors, Pat Dade and Timothy Craig, to Melbourne. They bring with them the latest techniques from this world renowned institution, ready to deliver them to Melbourne actors in an accessible and affordable way There will be two weekend workshops on the 21st and 22nd August and the 27thand 28th August held at the Arts House Meat Market Building in North Melbourne. There will be a “Young Actors” program as well as an Actors program on the first weekend. The second weekend is for actors only. We still have some places left in the second weekend actors program. All other sessions are sold out. On Monday 23rd August we will also be holding a networking night themed “From Here To Hollywood” at 7-9pm in the “Studio Space” at the Gasworks Arts Park 21 Graham St in Albert Park ,Melbourne. There will be a panel of five speakers including John Jack Rodgers, Pat Dade and Tim Craig , together with Stan Harrington, an award winning Australian expat. guerilla filmaker who lives in Hollywood and Bjorn B. an LA based headshot photographer. This event is a gold coin donation with funds raised going to the Edmund Rice Foundation. This event is open to anyone interested in what makes Hollywood Acting so successful and to anyone interested in finding out about how the industry works there especially in relation to Australian actors. However we are limited to 60 people in the audience.
