My Web Blog

FEB 10
I havent updated for a while! Lots has been going on. Only a few months left of Stella, and I am out into the real world. It was wonderful having the Screen Actors crew come and visit, and I love seeing Maddie, Ivan and Bianca around every day.
I recently signed with an agent and a manager in Los Angeles, I was very lucky! I am shooting a lead in a feature film, and working on an American reel. And Im on IMDB- thats pretty exciting!
Keep emailing me! I love updates! I will reply when I can!
JUNE 09
Its been an exciting few weeks! I was in a production of Shanley\'s "Dreamer Examines His Pillow", which was alot of fun, and very well recieved. My next role is in"Midsummer Nights Dream" as Hermia, set in the 60\'s- Janis Joplin is my muse!
I am shooting a small part in a feature on Thursday, its a mockumentarty and I interview the \'star\'. We have had a few reharsals, and are shooting on a sound stage which sounds like fun!
I also landed a small part in Jacks Mannequins new music video "Swim", soon to be aired. Look out for me!
What else... Summer is here, and its so lovely to be in LA surrounded by enthusiasm and big egos and ridiculously rich people... I hope I\'m not becoming cynical! Looking forward to my Australia trip, only 10 weeks away!
APRIL
Stella Adler is amazing as always. I am studying 7 different plays at the moment, and am performing in class every day.
I recently shot a USC film, a commercial, helped out on Mark Ruffalos\' film (with Orlando Bloom!), and got a part in a play. I\'m loving it!
OCTOBER
So much has been happening! I am getting more homesick by the day, but the acting opportunitys are so great, its hard to be too sad! I have shot a trailer with Jimmy Hanks (Tom\'s brother), performed in a live Improv group, attended red carpet screenings, and helped organise a plays festival.
Theres more to come... I have a show opening in November, and had an awesome audition last night for a feature film... fingers crossed!
Its so great to read the latest news and see everyone working so hard and getting rewards. Keep it up guys.
JUNE
Having just completed another term at Stella Adler, I am starting to settle into Hollywood. I have a show opening on Friday night and am still auditioning weekly for casting director and agents. Classes at Stella are AMAZING- I learn and improve every single day.
Hollywood is still crazy and mad, but I am making some great friends who help to keep me sane! I do miss Australia though... especially Screen Actors!
APRIL/MAY
Hollywood is amazing. The people are crazy and different and inspiring. The training is the best in the world, and Screen Actors has so much of it!!! I go to auditions in the morning, reharsals in afternoon and classes in evening. Then I learn lines, and work on scripts, and apply for auditions all night. I love it!!!

I miss my students! Email me and update me on all the goss...
LAST WEEK OF TERM ONE
Thanks for all the chocolates! Its been a great last week of term. Everyone has improved in some way, so I am happy and proud with you all!
As sad as it is to say bye, you can all still e-mail me, and I will see you when I get back! Its been awesome.
WEEK TWO
Last week was so much fun, in every class I taught. The Thursday adults class in Mt Waverley were so brave during space jump- especially Scott. On Friday, Stevie- Lou and Monique really worked hard on their scenes- maybe the audition inspired you both? And Bana was a star on Saturday morning, filming like a professional. Thanks to Cem for being such an awesome stills photographer. Teens class on Saturday was as crazy as usual- such a fun class to be in! Angela and Sean both stood out.
Monologues will be a challenge this week, but I’m sure everyone is up for it.
BOOTCAMP
Bootcamp last week was one of my all time favourites, with stars Chloe and Jordana taking home the trophies. We had a great time experimenting with green screen and making up improv games.
This term I am looking forward to teaching a few classes at Mt Waverley, as well as my Kids and a Teens class in Ascot Vale.

Stella Adler have become my new family! I spendevery day and most nights there!
Currently my love life is lacking, but my family loves me (well, they have to!). My sister Zoe is head over heels in love with her boyf, so there is enough loving happening there for the rest of us.
Tim, my brother farms abalone and is a star tennis, netball and football player. Or most sports for that matter. Where did my share of the natural sporting talent go?
Dad is loving being adventurous which involves a few motorbikes, caravans, kayaks and cars. I went sky-diving with him for my 18th birthday, and even though his side of the family is responsible for my lack of height, he is the best Dad in the world. Even if he looses his car keys 7 times a day.
Mum and Andy work their butts off on the farm, but love every moment of it. I think everyone should appreciate each other like Mum and Andy do.

I love shearing time, and driving the motorbike. I have been fencing, planted fruit trees, driven the tractor, been a rouse- about and collected hundreds of eggs a day. I love the vast difference of being there one moment then being in the middle of Melbourne the next!

Avatar- awesome, see it in 3D!
Its Complicated- Very funny, Meryl is amazing as usual.
Hangover- pretty well constructed and very funny!
The Reader- Loved it. Kate Winslet is very brave!
There Will Be Blood
You have to see Daniel Day Lewis in this film. I look up to him in so many ways. Very dark and depressing- I actually felt like I had lived around oil when I left the cinema.
Juno
Great soundtrack, and fun quirky dialogue. Juno was a Hollywood film without a typical ending, and I admired that. Had some funny moments.
No Country For Old Men
Best film I have seen all year- exceptionally well shot. The lack of music was noticeable, but just added to the feeling of being secluded in the country. I loved the natural dialogue, and the way characters repeated lines, as we constantly do in real life. I love the ending now, even if it frustrated and confused me at the time. Must see film.
The Lives Of Others
Fascinating premise, especially because it’s based on true events. The actor went through the same experience in his’ life, so it was interesting to watch the film knowing this. Subtitles were no distraction, really natural characters (like in most foreign films). I am always amazed at how much some governments can get away with, then take no responsibility for.
Crash
Crash is in my top ten films of all time. Really reminded me of LA- the way some people treat each other. I enjoyed the way each story intertwined and how they made their point about racism without shoving it down our throats.

Been shooting a few things... ref to "Living in Hollywood" section!
I recenltly landed a role in John Patrick Shanley\'s "The Dreamer Examines his Pillow", opposite Stan Harrington. Looking forward to it...
AUDITIONS... SO MANY!!!!
I had my third call back for a low budget feature film yesterday, its down to me or another girl. The process has been so interesting, and different to Australia. They don\'t know I have an accent either! Which is hard work, even when I answer my phone I have to do it in American! Luckily I have a good accent...
SHORT FILM
I am currently working on a short film, aiming to shoot in the next couple of weeks. I have written a script spine, but most of the scenes will be improvised. We are using all SAS actors, so its going to be awesome!
Luke is helping with all the technical stuff (thanks Luke!) and I am producing and of course acting in it. It’s a subject I feel passionate about, and should be good showreel material too, which is a bonus!
ME
This is me. With my acting stuff, I am going to as many Screen Actors classes as possible, and happen to be teaching 5 classes too. I am writing a short film, and going to auditions. But I guess I am mostly trying to spend time with my family and friends before I head to Hollywood!
